For those who know me, I was really into Python in my past life as a developer and it continues to take a special place in my heart. This year, my birthday wish came true and I will attending PyCon 2014! To make it even better, let’s add some Make Web Not War flair to the conference this year. For those attending, come visit us in the Exhibit Hall.

Here’s what we have in store for you:

The folks from Python on Rails have been amazing and we are partnering up to run activities on the April 10 11am Via Rail train from Toronto to Montreal. We booked up two cars, including the one with the bar! Some of the activities include a peer group session to brainstorm up some cool projects to build with Python and pitch to the group as a whole. The top projects will receive an annual MSDN OSS subscription that includes monthly Azure credits of $150 per month for dev and test environments to kickstart your project!

There will also be a PyCon primer session delivered by a PyCon seasoned veteran who will guide us on our journey through this awesome event. Really looking forward to probably the funnest commute I will experience.

On Friday night (Apr. 11) we will be hosting a Python on Rails + MWNW social event at:

Santos Tapa Bar
191 Rue Saint Paul Ouest
Vieux-Montreal
514-849-8881

Come party with us, MWNW styles!

As our friends of Make Web Not War know, we cannot have an event without exclusive MWNW PyCon stickers! We will be giving out a different one for each day at the conference, drop by our booth in the exhibit hall. Which one is your favourite or just wanna collect them all?
