Now that Family Day is here, this just means that we are only ONE WEEK AWAY from the the MWNW ConFoo Hackathon in Montreal!

What you should know:

On February 25th to 26th, the Make Web Not War team will be hosting a hackathon at ConFoo.

You’ll be getting Breakfast & Lunch, drinks, expert training & advice, great networking – all so that you can:

  • Turn an idea into an app. We can help you get started!
  • Have an existing or a near-complete app or an existing app? We’ll show you how to get it finished and published. Learn how to scale your app, leverage the cloud, and add it to the Windows 8 Market.
  • Get expert advice in app, mobile, and cloud development. We will provide the training to get you going!
  • Meet other developers and designers.
  • Get some awesome prizes!

When: Feb 25th and Feb 26th (2 days, 9AM to 5PM each day)
Where: Hilton Montreal Bonaventure
Price: $10 which is donated to charity (you don’t need a ConFoo conference ticket to attend the hackathon)
Prizing: Xbox 360s & Microsoft Surfaces
Who: all developers welcome (students, professional, hobbyists)
Meals: Food is provided, including breakfast, lunch, and beverages

  • 10h45 – Windows Azure Web Sites
  • 11h00 – Coding time
  • 11h45 – Apps4Ottawa competition
  • 12h00 – Lunch
  • 13h00 – Windows Azure Table Storage
  • 13h15 – Coding time
  • 15h15 – Break/snack time
  • 15h30 – App presentation (2 mins per app)
  • 16h30 – Judges deliberation + winners announcement
  • 17h00 – End of the hackathon
